Project Manager for UAE

VAM SYSTEMS currently looking for PROJECT MANAGERS for our UAE operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:
Main Job Tasks
The role of a Project Manager is to scope, plan and deliver large projects and initiatives, to meet specified business needs, controlling resources from several areas to meet agreed cost, time and quality objectives.
During project planning, this function is responsible for:
Ø Work with the Sponsor to ensure the business purpose of the project is totally understood and then create the project plan aiming to satisfy this purpose.
Ø Assisting the Sponsor to obtain authorisations and sign-offs on the Business Case
Ø Defining the overall project approach, including the phasing strategy and build versus buy options
Ø Commission estimates of resources, costs and durations, and based on these, creating a high-level project schedule and requesting appropriate resources
Ø Ensuring that any impacts of the project on business processes and business continuity are assessed and continually monitored and managed as the project develops
Ø Own and manage the overall project plan, ensuring the full engagement and commitment of all stakeholders, including the customer, sponsor, project team members and Quality Assurance (QA) (including those for Quality Assurance, Software Configuration Management, Requirements Management and Risk Management)
During execution of the project, this function is responsible for:
Ø Managing the production and approval of project deliverables
Ø Scheduling, managing and participating in key quality reviews and developing action plans to resolve issues arising
Ø Ensuring that the project is kept on track by producing and discussing status reports with project stakeholders and taking corrective or preventive actions
Ø Maintaining a dialogue with QA to ensure that defined project processes are followed and that any issues are resolved in a timely manner
Ø Ensuring that project team members are accurately recording their time spent on project tasks
Ø Managing project risks and issues and ensuring that project team members are actively involved in the identification and, where appropriate the ownership, of risks
Ø Refining resource, cost and duration estimates as the project progresses and ensuring that requests for resources for each phase are supplied sufficiently early to enable them to be secured when needed
Ø At the end of each phase, working with the sponsor and key stakeholders to establish whether authorisation to proceed to the next phase can be obtained, to develop an action plan for any outstanding issues and to formally close the current phase
Ø Ensuring that the system being delivered will be ready to be deployed into the production environment by following all stages of the relevant process
Ø Confirming that the project’s objectives have been achieved
Ø Obtaining approval from the sponsor that the acceptance criteria have been met
Ø Confirming that all outstanding risks and issues have been accepted by the sponsor
Ø Ensuring that all of the project’s work products have been placed in the correct repository
Ø Performing comparisons of estimated and actual costs and completing financial closeout
Ø Conducting a formal PIR (Post Implementation Review)
Key results areas are:

Key skills / experience are:
Ø Experience of performing Business Systems Analysis for medium to large-scale projects and excellent project management skills.
Ø Demonstrated ability to document business requirements to SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) standards.
Ø Demonstrated ability to documents systems requirements to SDLC standards.
Ø Knowledge of architecture/technology needs of the organisation based on business priorities, strategies, goals, and economic viability.
Ø Ability to determine estimates of effort and impacts on a variety of solutions.
Ø Demonstrated analytical capabilities within both strategic and detailed forums.
Ø Ability to communicate openly and effectively in both written and verbal form
Ø Ability to manage rapid change in a fast paced environment
Ø Experience of working in a diverse and challenging environment
Ø Ability to make information based decisions (includes the ability to make decisions based upon little information and to deal effectively with ambiguity)
Ø Ability to manage in a virtual team environment
Preferred experience:
Ø PRINCE2 certification
Ø Experience of working in Financial Services and Banking Industries
Ø Multi-lingual, multi-country projects, and business travel experience
Ø Work experience with Consumer Finance portfolio conversions
Ø Experience with Vision PLUS strongly preferred
Ø Subject Matter Expert/Business Analyst in at least one of the following areas strongly preferred:
o Regulatory, Compliance, Payment Schemes, Card Personalization, Application Processing, Customer Correspondence (Statements, Letters), Fulfillment, Collections, Risk/Fraud, Disputes, Chargebacks, Retrievals, Testing, and Consumer Finance, which can include Credit Cards, Loans, Debit Cards, and Retails Cards
Experience: Minimum 7 years
