VAMSYSTEMS are currently looking for Business Analyst – Management Accounting for our UAE operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:
Job Purpose
To support Workstream Delivery Manager for implementation of Enterprise Financial Management (EFM) initiative)
To join the business team setting up and testing the configuration of the general-ledger package, with particular focus on setting up of management accounting rules & configuring solution for management accounting, cost centres, profit centres, budgeting & planning, forecasts, product accounting & reconciling data against current product systems.
To ensure vendor delivery & module delivery in EFM project activity, ensuring compliance with all controls & security requirements
To ensure EFM project deliverables are covered optimally in EFM implementation
Main Job Tasks
1. Support management of vendor deliverables / project task deliverables, module implementation tasks, project scope
2. To create project documentation, support risks and escalation procedures. Reinforce a sense of accountability and responsibility for delivering highest quality and value to the business
3. To join the business team setting up and testing the configuration of EFM with particular focus on reconciling against current systems, building implementation cases and scenarios for the business, analysing transactional & posting data from sources, configuring system as per user requirements, analysing & investigating gaps and taking part in formal business acceptance testing
4. Build vendor & team relationships
5. Support implementation of customer product profitability model from data in source systems using the Cognos reporting tool
6. Provide timely performance and support effective usage of the Oracle solution in the user community
7. Provide expertise and skills to other functions within Finance Information systems department as and when required
8. Provide support for sub-projects as needed, including simplification/process improvements and Oracle implementation. Provide support and back-up assistance to other Finance team members, as needed.
9. On project completion, act as centre of excellence on management accounting systems and move into Business performance function to aid provision of timely and value add reporting, analysis and recommendations to Business units to develop strategies, measure performance and make relevant business decisions that create business growth.
10.Aid preparation of business unit Budgets and provision of information for inclusion in business unit Strategic Plans as and when required
Performance Measures –
1. Develop a robust end-state systems architecture for EBG Finance
2. High commitment in ensuring quality in analysis, reconciliations, tests, documentation, inputs and views as required.
3. Implementing a robust system for EBG Finance that ensures timely & credible information and a distributed access across the Group.
Job Dimensions – Applicable only for Executives and Managers
Judgment / Complexity
1. Sound judgment is required in understanding the Group’s functional environment and identifying gaps & weaknesses and suggesting measures to address them.
2. Judgment & complexity arises in implementing new systems initiatives for Finance across the Group
3. Judgment and complexity arise in establishing productive working relationships with internal functional specialists, IT specialists, Businesses, Operations and external consultants
Know-how / Experience
1. Qualified management accountant with previous experience (minimum 5 years) in the area of systems for Banking / Financial Services.
2. Should possess excellent knowledge of Banking products & transactions and have extensive knowledge of relevant banking processes – management accounting (actual, plan, forecast, budget)
3. Awareness of relevant statutory & regulatory reporting requirements
4. In depth knowledge of testing mechanisms, banking process, practical experience of hands-on roles, limited project management skills.
5. Knowledge about management accounting consolidations and roll-up consolidated reporting, Core management accounting and reporting, including reconciliations, customer product profitability and month-end close activities.
6. Excellent communication skills with emphasis on ability to influence and lead others, strong data analysis skills, able to work tight deadlines
7. Working software knowledge to include all MS Office products including advanced skills in Excel and Cognos (OLAP - Online analytical processing tools experience beneficial)
