VINIRMA Consulting is currently looking for Oracle Database Administrator for one of our clients which is a leading bank in Qatar with the following skill set and terms and conditions.

Job Summary:
The Oracle DBA is responsible for the administration and support of multiple installations of Oracle version 10g running on AIX UNIX platforms. The administrator is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of Oracle on all servers, monitor the environments for availability, respond to issues, deploy and maintain SQL code in multiple environments and provide support to various groups within bank as a whole.

Essential Functions:

 Maintain performance, availability and perform deployments for multiple Oracle environments
 Implement or consult in the deployment of monitoring tools or custom monitoring solutions associated with the Oracle databases.
 Manage the complex eBanking architecture consisting of highly available, load balanced and clustered Oracle environments to strive for a 24x7 uptime in the production environments.
 Analyze the performance and reliability of applications deployed in the Oracle server environments providing performance and tuning enhancements as and when necessary.
 Implement, enforce and adhere to application security policies.
 Participate in projects by providing subject matter expertise and applying industry best practices as it pertains to the Oracle environments.
 Formulate and document the backup and recovery plan, test the plan periodically, and participate in any needed recovery effort.
 Respond to production issues and provide detailed root cause analysis documentation.
 Apply patches/upgrades to Oracle software installations.
 Monitor, communicate and respond to capacity demands for the Oracle environments.Capacity, Performance & Availability Analysis: Ensure Oracle databases are operating at their most efficient levels and are available to customers during mission critical and 24X7 timeframes. Provide and maintain baselines of capacity and performance statistics alerting the appropriate parties when there are variations. Assist in capacity trends that will assist with future planning. Strategy and Planning: Work together with Senior Management to establish and manage the Oracle environments to meet service levels for bank and its customers. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain and produce reports that focus on capacity, uptime, incidents, performance and overall health status of all Oracle systems.IT Business Processes: Assist in developing the appropriate business processes for all the appropriate teams and ensure a comprehensive understanding of bank business processes as they relate to IT.

Assist staff and vendor staff with streamlined SQL code and design support including suggesting new indexes etc.
Technical Experience

 Minimum five years of experience administrating production Oracle environments running on versions 9i and 10g.
Skills & Abilities
 Must be well organized, with high attention to detail in planning and execution of assigned work.
 Must be able to work in a fast paced, high stress, constantly evolving environment where meeting tight deadlines is critical
 Must be an effective communicator both verbal and written and able to make business presentations to Senior levels of management
